I have worked with John for several years now (I think since he started the magazine) and it is by far the one magazine we get the most response from. I'm sure he will work with you to get you in the magazine and provide a great spot if he has the space available. Put a good coupon offer in it and you'll be blown away by the response.
Sorry for sounding like a commercial for it but of all the magazines and etc that were we offer discount coupons (or even free tickets!) we get the largest number back from Great Deals. Actually we received 8 times the amount of the next highest returned coupon and 75 times (yep, 75!) of each of the other coupon offers we use.

I just wanted to update you with our progress thus far.
Great Deals Magazine continues to be an outstanding lead generator for us. We have already had 35 calls and we are only 1/4 of the way through the shelf life of this particular magazine. The last issue brought us 64 calls over the course of 2 months! One of the things that I am still amazed by is that the calls come so consistently throughout the 2 months of the magazine's shelf life. As a matter of fact we saw a surge at the very end of the 1st run because people saw that the coupon was ready to expire and didn't want to miss out. Now that we are running our 2nd back to back issue, the call volume seems to have increased due to familiarity of the ad.
You told me before that marketing shouldn't be looked at as an expense, but rather an investment. The success that we have received from these past 2 issues has certainly proven that. In this particular case, one which had a very fast return on investment.

Thanks to advertising in the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo editions of the Great Deals Magazine our business revenue increased 16% in 2005. Sounds like this could be an exaggeration?
We struggled to get a payback on our advertising dollars using radio, television, daily newspapers and local magazines. We would get some phone calls but never got the orders to cover the cost of the advertisement. That is, until we advertised with Great Deals. With over 200,000 households receiving Great Deals we are now reaching the number of people to generate the sales we project. The quality of the magazine is wonderful and the graphics and print quality show off our product well.
